Besides the area is noted for fruits and vegetables. More than 50 percent of the country's potato production comes from Rajshahi division. Besides flood-free land the adaphic and agro-climatic condition is suitable for commercial seed production for cereals, potatoes, pulses and a number of vegetable crops.
